Representatives of ALDA attended and contributed to the outcomes of the international seminar “The Personal and Household Service Sector in Europe: challenges and opportunities” coordinated by its partner DIESIS (European Research and Development Service for the Social Economy). The event was held in Brussels on 4th June and took place within the framework of the Progress funded project BESPAT - Best European Policies, Analysis and Transference in Personal and Household Services (PHS). It gathered together key stakeholders and European networks to exchange and debate on the professionalization of PHS.

The participants discussed the efficiency of several innovative tools in PHS such as service vouchers and the use of ICT and presented various views on the professionalization of PHS as well as the current development of the sector of social economy supported by the work of many international organizations and the European Commission.
